Today's (and kind of yesterday's) activity was playing Scribblenauts! Scribblenauts Unlimited is an awesome game for the computer where you can create pretty much anything you want! Have fun with adjectives and crazy combinations to solve mysteries and help people. Or you can just see what happens when two random objects are made! I have been playing this for the last few days, so I guess you could count this for those days as well, but today I decided to get some pictures and make a blog post about it. I chose this activity because I love this game, and I wanted to play something fun! I would rate it a 10/10 because there is almost an infinite amount of things to do in the game, and I've never gotten bored of it. So far I've spent 4 hours in the game, and I still have a ton to do! I would definitely recommend this to my friends, or anyone who loves fun, creative video games. Here's a bunch of pictures, I'll try to explain as I show them!
In this picture, I just completed a mission! I had to satisfy each art museum patron with some piece of art. Each one wanted different styles of art, so I had to be creative and come up with some awesome stuff!

Whatever is going on here is pretty random. I helped Ben Franklin discover electricity, but then stuff got out of control. That's why I love this game!

Here I was being a doctor. I helped the nurse fix up that jumpy guy! Now he's all ready for Karate!

I had to help a sick cat here, but I was having some trouble! In the end, I just made a veterinarian to take care of the poor thing.

Another completed mission!

I'm not sure what happened here, but I think that guy's my brother. He's a dinosaur hunter!

Some crazy happenings at a local high school. But everyone's happy, thanks to me!

Today's activity is looking for movies that sound good on Netflix and writing them down! I chose this one today because today me and Allison were at Elkhart Lake in the Victorian Village all day, and we had a blast! We didn't take any pictures, but we mostly swam, ate ice cream, and kayaked. It was a great day, so I decided to pick something easy for tonight. I believe that this one can start out small, and I'll be able to add to it whenever I see more good movies to add to the list. I rate this idea a 9/10. I wouldn't say it's fun exactly, but the idea itself is awesome, so that's what I'm rating it on. I would suggest this to anyone who has Netflix, because it's always good to have a list of movies to watch instead of just randomly picking ones. Without further ado, here's my list of movies for us to watch!
  • Happy Gilmore
  • 13 Going on 30
  • Video Game High School
  • Playing for Keeps
  • Tommy Boy
  • Revenge of the Bridesmaids
  • Adventureland
  • One for the Money
  • It's a Boy Girl Thing
  • Noobz
  • Good Will Hunting

Oh my goodness, it has been too long! I apologize to Allison and everyone else, I should try harder to make time for my list. But looking back at why I haven't posted anything in a while, I realized something. Allison's goal when she came up with this idea was to crush boredom from my summer, and make sure that even if I'm not with her, I was having fun. The first few weeks I needed to keep myself occupied unless I was with Allison, and when I wasn't, I needed to do something from the list. It kept me thinking about her, but not about how much I miss her. After a while, however, I think her plan worked better than she thought. I was beginning to have fun with everything, and not worrying about being with her. I could go out with my friends and not be sad that I wasn't with her. I could do things by myself and not constantly mope about because we couldn't hang out. So I guess the reason I stopped with the list for a while was that Allison's plan worked; I found my ability to have fun on my own. We talked about the blog a couple of days ago, and of course she's fine with me not always posting every single day. But for her, I want to get into it again. I will try my best to start doing at least a few a week, if not one a day. So, with that behind us, let's get into today's activity!

Today's activity was going on freerice.com! I could do this for a while, and I'm sure I'll update this one again some other time with more progress. I played in the category "English Vocabulary", but only because I already have played that category for English class. I chose this activity because I was on the computer, and I figured it was a great one to do since I didn't have too much free time, but enough to help some people in need! I wanted to do a bunch of really ambitious ones today, but we went to the beach with my family and friends, and soon Andrew wants to hang out. I will try some better ones soon! I rate this activity a 7/10 because it is fun, but eventually gets monotonous. It also is educational, and helps people in less fortunate countries. I would recommend this to my friends, mostly because it helps others. Here's a picture of my progress so far, I'll continue to go through the quizzes!

Yesterday Allison and I went to the beach! This activity wasn't on the list, but we both decided it should be on here. It was a perfect day for the beach, but the water was still cold! We played in the sand and walked along the water. And took plenty of pictures! Here are some of ny favorites.

Today's activity is having a donut date with friends! Me, Andrew and Jay got donuts and ate them together at Parker's house for a fire. I'm sure well do this again, and we might even have a cooler donut day sometime, so I might have to reuse this one in case something cooler happens! I didn't quite pick this for today, we just happened to do it and I (Allison) realized it was on the list! But it is a really good idea nonetheless because it makes any hang-out even better. Rating this activity is kind of funny because getting donuts in any situation is great, so I suppose a 10/10 is in order! I of course suggest this to any bored friends, heck, they were with me! :D I don't have any pictures of us enjoying these awesome donuts, but here's the empty box. It was a great snack!

Wednesday's activity was being an architect on Sims! I love building houses on Sims and designing new rooms for new families. I've been an architect many times, and I'm sure I will a lot in the future, but on Wednesday I designed a summer/beach home! Allison was there with me, and she kind of helped every now and then, but I still took some pictures to post on here. I'm not done with it yet, so I've only taken pictures of the finished rooms and exterior. I'll update this when I get back to designing. I obviously picked this because I love building houses, but also because Allison and I were already playing Sims yesterday! I would rate this activity a 9/10, and the only reason it isn't the top is because I sometimes run out of creativity. I would suggest this to any of my friends that like Sims, or just designing houses in general! And without further ado, here is our beach home!

New activity! I know I've been slacking a bit, but I have been doing about a thing a day, it's just been hard to post about each! I'll try to post everything the day it happened, but they might be a bit shorter. We'll see!

Monday's activity was going on Pintrest and browsing Allison's "Ideas for Someday" board. There's a ton of ideas on there, and they're all amazing! I decided that for my post I would take a few of my favorites and show them on here. I picked this mostly because Allison added it Monday and wanted me to try(; But also because I love someday, and just can't wait for it<33 I would rate it an 8/10 because there's just a ton of ideas on there to look through. I could spend a lot more time on that board! I don't know if I would suggest this to my friends, but I would suggest Pintrest to anyone who's really bored! It's a great time waster, and you can get a lot of cool ideas. Now, here are my favorites!

I know this post is being put up a lot later than Sunday, but I wanted to keep up with what I've been doing. This past weekend I was up north at my family's cottage, so I can show you some pictures from all of our activities! I might update it later with some more pictures that my mom took. For now, enjoy the pictures from my weekend!

Everyone sitting out, enjoying the lake.

I've decided to try one of the task on my notecards today, because I'm leave very soon for vacation. I will take pictures on vacation and upload them at the end, as Allison and I have agreed on. But after that, I'll get right on one of these a day! Before I start though, I just wanted to tell you, Allison, that this is just so amazing. You are perfect for working so hard at keeping me occupied even without hanging out with you. That's why I love you so much(: Now, onto the task!

I'll admit, I picked an easy one. Download Pou. It wasn't very hard to download, but of course that wasn't the point! I played it a bit this morning and...okay...it's kinda fun. I'll admit as much. I suppose I picked it because it was an easy one for me to do this morning before I left, but also because I can play it on my way up to the cottage. So far, I'll rate it 6/10, but I'm sure that'll change once I play it more. Maybe I'll update this post sometime later with my official reaction! I would recommend it to someone who's bored, but it is still kinda silly(; Anyways, here's a picture of my level four Pou!

Update! I want to keep up with a lot of these, like Allison said I should, so I'll occasionally update some of my posts with what's going on. Here are some more pictures of my Pou!

Monday, July 1st, 2013

Hello there blogging world! This is Jacob's girlfriend. You can call me Al, since everyone else does. I'm here for a reason. I've sent myself on a mission to erase boredom from Jacob's summer. Here's how I'm doing it...

-I created a nice, organized list of notecards.
-Said notecards are separated into catagories.
- These categories are instructions on how to do them.

~Categories are; By Yourself, Creativity, Knowledge, Physical Activity, With Others.~

-On each card, I wrote dozens of ideas that are boredom busters.
-In order to not have a boring summer, Jacob must complete at least one thing (on any notecard) a day for the rest of the summer.

Here's the rules:

-Once you pick an idea, there's no backing out! (Time constraints; only excuse.)
-You must completely finish one idea before starting another.
-Once you pick an idea, have fun with it. Make it last a while. Enjoy yourself.
- Take videos, pictures, etc., before/after/during whatever it is you're doing.
-At least ONE of those pictures/videos/etc., MUST end up on this blog, so we know you're not just cheating your way through the list. (;
-Each picture/video/etc., you post, must come with an explanatory paragraph explaining;
     -What the activity is.
     -Why you chose this activity.
-Rate the idea from a scale of 1-10 (1 being the worst, ten being the best).
-Would you recommend this to your bored friends as well?
-Each blog post must be titled the way this one is!
     -Day of the week
     -Month
     -Date
     -Year
-Font size; normal. Font; Georgia.

-HAVE FUN, BE CREATIVE, AND BUST YOUR BOREDOM!-

That's pretty much all I have for now, but you might be hearing more from me later on.

So for now,
Love Al. ♫

Oh, and Jacob? You can now open the envelope you've been so curious about.(;
